In my teens and 20s, skiing was all about finding the flow of a perfect line, playing with gravity, and the subtleties of the differences in snow quality.
In my 30s, I explored the zen of climbing mountains on skins, exploring the conservation of energy and dialing in the subtle efficiencies of gear and perfectly repeated process.
In my 40s, I used those tools to bring me into deep alignment with the tao of these peaceful wild places, minding my presence and connection.
Now I’m 50, entering my sixth decade of skiing. What realizations will this decade of skiing bring?
